Users on the Google Product Forums have reported that some problems with some of Google’s smart devices. It appears that these devices are crashing certain Wi-Fi networks. While the original complaints were limited to Google Home Max users, it has been reported that similar issues have been found to affect users of other Google products including Chromecast. 9to5 Google has reported that the company has now implemented a fix that should solve this problem across all affected devices.

Amazon said Sidewalk uses WiFi from neighbors to create "a shared network that helps devices work better," but some raised privacy concerns. Amazon users are being automatically opted into Sidewalk, a feature that will connect Alexa devices to nearby WiFi networks, even those owned by someone else. It allows nearby devices to use a portion of a neighbor's WiFi bandwidth, so that devices can have more range.

Google is looking to give other AI competitors like Apples Siri and Amazons Alexa a run for their money with the introduction of Goggle Assistant. The Google Assistant, allows users to perform tasks such as control smart home devices, make appointments in your calendar events, and of course the tradition online searches by asking questions. Googles device boast the ability of allowing users to interact with the software without having to use a phone keyboard or other physical input.
Samsung delighted their fans by making the Galaxy S7 phones waterproof again. The phones can withstand being under at least a meter of water and for at least 30 minutes. But it turns out the phones don’t just handle being dunked — they also know when they’re wet. S7 will warn you if it detects any moisture lurking in the one weak spot in any waterproof phone design: its charging port. One user reported that his phone would no longer charge after performing a dunk test. When he plugged his Samsung fast charger in, the phone displayed a message that moisture had been detected in the charging port and the current never started flowing.
Samsung has come under recent fire after a customer noticed that its smart TV privacy policy included some rather troubling warnings. The warning said that owners are informed that they shouldn’t have personal conversations around the TV, because it’s listening and may transmit their personal information. This warning reportedly only applies only to Samsung TVs that have always-on listening features.
