According to Business Insider, a new Gallup poll revealed that President-elect Joe Biden is already more popular than President Trump among Americans. Biden's favorability rating is 55%. It jumped up by 6 points after the election. Over the same period, Trump's rating slid down 3 points lower, to 42%. According to Gallup, Trump has never received a rating over 50% at any point, during his presidency. Trump recently acknowledged that Biden will become president in January. However, he still refuses to concede. He told rally goers in Georgia over the weekend that he believes that the election was rigged.
President Donald Trump is the first president in polling history never to have received a positive job approval rating while in office. In exit polls Tuesday, CNN reports Americans gave Trump an approval rating of 47%. Senior CNN commentator David Axelrod notes that as Trump blames the media and voter fraud for his loss to Joe Biden, Trump should look in the mirror, instead. Axelrod argues that Trump had planned to be re-elected on the strength of the economy, which caused him to downplay the seriousness of COVID-19. As the pandemic picked up speed, Trump used it to inflame his base even more, and divide the country even further. By denying science, however, he torpedoed the US economy, not to mention contributing to hundreds of thousands of deaths.

And according to Business Insider, a thousand current and former CDC officers have put their names to a letter criticizing the politicization of the health agency. The letter comes after a Kaiser poll revealed 62% of adults reported last month they fear 'political pressure' will rush a coronavirus vaccine. In September, Trump administration officials reportedly delayed CDC reports that were not in line with its politics. The White House also planted two political operatives, with no public health experience, in the CDC to keep the agency's scientists on message. There is less than a month to go before Election Day. CNN reports that President Donald Trump has hit a new low in the polls. The President trails former Vice President Joe Biden by 16 points. That's the biggest gap of any CNN poll conducted in this entire election. That's not the worst news in the latest CNN/SSRS poll. 90% of likely voters in the CNN poll say that their minds are made up when it comes to which candidate they will be voting for this fall.
