Looming Tropical Storm May Challenge New Orleans' Levees Like Never Before

As the planet's oceans warm due to climate change, hurricanes are likely to get wetter and more frequent. New Orleans was hit with flash floods Wednesday, and the water is likely to keep rising. Business Insider reports the weather pattern is likely to develop into a tropical storm or possibly a hurricane by Friday. The storm could present an enormous challenge to New Orleans's river levees along the Mississippi.
