Have you figured out where you will be spending your Friday night? If you're tired of the whole bar and club scene and are looking for a fun and original way to grab a few brewskies with some friends, you should check out beer yoga. That's right, beer yoga. Beer yoga is basically exactly what it sounds like - people meet up in a yoga class and drink beers while practicing yoga positions. Of course, the participants might get a little tipsy and off balance, so it's a common sight to see people falling over, especially while trying for the more advanced positions. Russian Yoga Teacher Marina Vovchenko leads a class of about 25 people in 'beer yoga' sessions from her Moscow studio. People signing up to her yoga class can bring their own beer or buy some bottles which are sold on the spot. This unorthodox style of yoga first appeared in 2014 at the Burning Man festival in Nevada. The first two beer yoga schools began operating in Berlin, Germany and Sydney, Australia, and now the movement is starting to expand, with new schools in Bangkok, New York, and Marina's Moscow studio. What could be better than grabbing a few drinks with your friends, meeting new people, and sipping on some beer while fine-tuning your downward dog?
