Kushner Still Won't Blame Saudi Crown Prince For Khashoggi's Murder

Description

Business Insider reports White House senior adviser Jared Kushner still would not blame Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for Jamal Khashoggi's death, during an Axios on HBO interview that aired Sunday . The CIA reportedly previously concluded with "high confidence" that Prince Mohammed was behind the killing of the Saudi journalist. Khashoggi was murdered in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2, 2018. At the time of his killing, Khashoggi had been living in the US and writing columns for The Washington Post. He was known to be critical of the Saudi royal family. The Senate also previously unanimously approved a measure that the crown prince, who is Saudi Arabia's de facto ruler, ordered Khashoggi's death. Kushner, who has a close relationship with Prince Mohammed, said he is waiting for the "facts."
