Thousands march for equality in Mexico's Gay Pride wielding rainbow flags. IMAGES
More than ten thousand lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people (LGBT), along with their supporters, march through the streets of Seoul for the Korea Queer Culture Festival. Jillian Kitchener reports.
Members of the LGBT community demanded the withdraw of the controversial law, that was reinstated in 2013. During the 7th edition of the annual parade many marchers were masked because of judgment.
People waved rainbow flags and danced to celebrate the LGBTQ+ Pride in Romania's capital city Bucharest on Saturday. The march was attended by around 25,000 people, making it the biggest since the first pride parade took place in the country in 2005, according to ACCEPT NGO, one of the organisers. In May, the European Court of Human Rights ruled that EU member Romania, which does not allow same-sex marriage, was violating the rights of couples by refusing to recognise their unions. IMAGES
Turkish police forcibly intervene in a Pride march in Istanbul, detaining and loading into buses more than 150 demonstrators.
