Conor McGregor Congratulates New Heavyweight Champion Andy Ruiz Jr.

Andry Ruiz Jr. became Mexico’s first heavyweight world champion and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. Conor McGregor congratulated Ruiz, saying he knows how tough Mexican fighters are. He said: "They [Mexicans] come up off the floor like something out of thriller.” According to Business Insider, the fight was supposed to introduce Anthony Joshua to the American market. Instead, The Ringer has called Ruiz’s win “one of the biggest upsets in heavyweight history.”
