Facebook Lawyer Admits There Is No Privacy In Facebook

Description

According to a report by Digital Trends, just one day before Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg told shareholders that he wants to build a 'privacy-focused social platform' the company's lawyer argued that privacy doesn't actually exist on Facebook. While speaking at a hearing in a class-action lawsuit over Cambridge Analytica's access to Facebook user data, company attorney Orin Snyder said there there is 'no expectation of privacy' on Facebook or in other social media platforms. While trying to convince US District Court Judge Vince Chhabria to throw out the lawsuit, Snyder reportedly said, “There is no invasion of privacy at all, because there is no privacy." Digital Trends reports that Snyder went on to argue that all users have already given their consent to share data with third parties.
