'Toy Story 4' Projected To Break Records With $200 Million Opening Weekend

Description

Comicbook.com reports Disney is looking forward to a potentially record shattering opening weekend with 'Toy Story 4.' A new report from Deadline says the Disney/Pixar film is projected to see a $200 million opening, the highest for any animated movie. The current record holder is 'Incredibles 2' which had a three-day total of $182.6 million. Fandango and Atom Tickets say 'Toy Story 4' broke the record for most pre-sale tickets sold for an animated movie in one day. Director Josh Cooley said, "We realize there is more story to tell to continue Woody's story and once we started going down that path and realizing oh there is more to tell for Woody, we just kept going and we hit upon something that's worth telling." 'Toy Story 4' will be released on June 21st.
