Will A Birth Strike Fight Climate Change?

According to CNN.com, "Climate change is rapidly changing the environment we live in. But how far would you be willing to go to help save the planet? For 33-year-old British musician Blythe Pepino the latter is a reality. Her fears about climate change are so strong she has decided not to have biological children." Pepino told the press, "I really want a kid. I love my partner and I want a family with him but I don't feel like this is a time that you can do that."

    According to Reuters, New York state lawmakers passed one of the nation’s most ambitious plans to slow climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050. If signed into law, it would make New York the second U.S. state to aim for a carbon-neutral economy. Before voting yes, assembly member Thomas Abinanti said, that the bill represents hope for the future. The measure would reduce emissions by 85% by 2050, and offsetting the remaining 15%, making the state carbon neutral.
