Dozens Dead After Sudan Military Opens Fire At Protesters

Business Insider reports Sudan's ruling military moved to crush the protest movement opposing its grip on power on Monday. Dozens of protesters were killed in a furious volley of gunfire. A doctor's group linked to the political opposition said on Wednesday that the death toll has risen to 60.The pro-democracy demonstrators have been camped outside the military's headquarters for months as the two sides negotiated over who would run the country after the April ouster of longtime strongman Omar al-Bashir.
