Mercedes-Benz Vans presented the Concept EQV as a study at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2019. Now the series version of the Mercedes-Benz EQV has celebrated its debut. The next member of the Mercedes EQ family combines emissions-free mobility with impressive driving abilities, high functionality and aesthetic design as the first fully-electric premium MPV from Mercedes-Benz. The Mercedes-Benz EQV will be displayed to the public for the first time at the 2019 IAA.The technical highlights include a range of 405 kilometres and the rapid charging of the high-voltage battery from 10 to 80 per cent in less than an hour. The Mercedes-Benz EQV also offers ultimate comfort in the interior and unparalleled flexibility. Customers can also choose between two different wheel bases.As a series-produced vehicle, the EQV is fully integrated into the production operations of the plant in Vitoria in northern Spain, where the V-Class and Mercedes-Benz Vito are also made. This facilitates flexible and synergetic production in direct correlation with customer demand.
This summer, Mercedes‑Benz Vans presented its new midsize model series for private and commercial use. Now, the sales launch is fast approaching. The midsize van portfolio boasts a new exterior and interior design, as well as increased comfort and functionality, especially thanks to an increase in intelligent, digital connectivity options and enhanced safety and assistance systems. All models will be available to order in January 2024 from sales partners and shortly online. The Vito is available as a Mixto from 46,210.80 euros, as a panel van from 47,074.02 euros and as a Vito Tourer from 57,924.44 euros. The eVito is available as a panel van from 63,438.90 euros and as a Tourer from 68,397.63 euros. The list price of the V-Class and EQV MPVs starts at 59,469.00 euros and 75,410.00 euros respectively; and of the V-Class Marco Polo camper van starts at 80,005.00 euros.A differentiated strategic approach was adopted regarding the new midsize van portfolio. For the commercial vans, including the eVito and Vito, the company is pursuing a more focused premium strategy. In the future a luxury strategy will apply to all newly developed midsize vans positioned for private use, as it will to all Mercedes‑Benz passenger cars. The aim is to fully implement this strategic change with the introduction of the upcoming modular and scalable Van Electric Architecture – VAN.EA for short – from 2026 onwards. The new midsize vans for private use – EQV, V-Class and V‑Class Marco Polo – are an important milestone on this journey.
The Mercedes-Benz Concept CLA Class unveiled at IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich, Germany, offers a close-to-production insight into the upcoming family of vehicles that stands at the gateway to the brand. At the cusp of a new electric and digital age, this represents the company’s vision to elevate this important vehicle class, based on the long-term portfolio strategy. Designed on the forthcoming Mercedes‑Benz Modular Architecture (MMA) platform, the exterior aesthetics of the Concept CLA Class stand for iconic design and dynamic performance. Meanwhile, its interior focuses on the customer experience with exceptional comfort and convenience for an electric and digital future.Technology leadership is apparent in the MMA platform underpinnings such as the next-generation electric-drive system aiming for a range of more than 750 kilometres (466 miles) (WLTP). The Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA) is an electric-first platform engineered for a family of four vehicles covering a range of body styles. It is set to play a major role in accelerating the ramp-up of the Mercedes-Benz electric fleet. As a fundamental part of the wider electric strategy, it will help the company attain its ambitious targets. All vehicles on the MMA platform are being developed in accordance with the Mercedes-Benz “real life safety” philosophy. Mercedes-Benz has set safety standards for decades, pursuing a vision of accident-free driving.Meanwhile, the new operating system “MB.OS” is the basis for an unparalleled user interface and user experience (UI/UX) via the MBUX Superscreen derived from the innovative display in the VISION EQXX incorporating advanced real-time graphics. The Concept CLA Class showcases the use of sustainable materials throughout its structure and interior. This ranges from almost CO₂-free steel and CO₂-reduced aluminium to sustainably produced and processed leather upholstery as well as trim made from paper. Overall, the show car represents the approachable interpretation of desire for a youthful and dynamic global market segment.
Mercedes-Benz Vans has made its medium-sized series even more attractive for private and commercial use - with a new exterior and interior design as well as more comfort, safety and functionality, especially thanks to a Plus in intelligent digital networking. The new models EQV, V-Class and V-Class Marco Polo as well as eVito and Vito mark an important step in the implementation of the recently presented, refocused business strategy. The aim is to offer the most desirable vans and services and to secure the leadership in electric mobility and digital experiences.In order to specifically meet the different wishes and needs of private and commercial customers, Mercedes‑Benz Vans is increasingly pursuing a differentiated strategic approach. The luxury strategy will apply to the privately positioned vans – including the EQV, V-Class and V-Class Marco Polo – as it does to all Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. The company is at the same time pursuing a focused premium strategy for commercial vans – including the eVito and Vito. The aim is to fully implement this strategic change with the introduction of the upcoming modular and scalable Van Electric Architecture – VAN.EA for short – from 2026 onwards. The new midsize vans mark an important intermediate step on this path. In both the private and commercial model portfolio, electric vans should also account for more than 50 percent by 2030. Mercedes‑Benz Vans already offers an electric version of each model. To date, more than 40,000 battery electric vans have been sold. The top seller is the eVito.
The new EQT not only forms the basis for the Concept EQT Marco Polo and the Marco Polo Module, but also offers families as well as recreationally active people and camping fans an attractive entry into the fully electric world of the brand with the star. The electric small van will be available for order in the near future. Prices start at around 49,000 euros for the EQT with 90 kW e-motor and standard length.Thanks to the Black Panel radiator grille with central star and dynamically designed cooling louvres, the new EQT is instantly recognisable as a member of the Mercedes-EQ family. The electric small van combines compact exterior dimensions with ample space. At the same time, thanks to the protected, space-saving installation of the battery in the underbody, with a favourably low centre of gravity, it offers almost the same variability and functionality in the interior as the conventionally powered T-Class. The EQT is 4498 millimetres long, 1859 millimetres wide and 1819 millimetres high. A long-wheelbase variant will follow in 2023.Just like the T-Class, the new EQT offers many advantages that make everyday life easy and comfortable for families and the recreationally active. These include the low loading sill of only 561 millimetres, which makes it easier to load heavy objects. The sliding doors on both sides of the vehicle each offer an opening measuring 614 millimetres wide and 1059 millimetres high. This allows convenient access to the rear, and loading can be done flexibly from three sides, including the tailgate. There is room for up to three child seats on the rear bench seat.
With the Concept EQT Mercedes-Benz Vans is giving a tangible impression of the first premium vehicle in the small van segment for families and private customers keen on leisure activities: the T-Class and its fully-electric variant. The near-series-production concept vehicle combines ample and versatile space for up to seven occupants and a generous luggage compartment with a Mercedes-typical design and approach to high-class appeal, comfort, functionality, connectivity and safety. Mercedes-Benz Vans is thus translating the V-Class's recipe for success into a compact format, bringing a new premium quality into the small van segment. The Concept EQT underscores the unique combination of premium comfort and uncompromising functionality with electric driving pleasure with an electric longboard which is perfectly integrated into the load compartment.
