7 Killed By Tropical Cyclone Fani In India

CNN reports Tropical Cyclone Fani killed seven people in India when it made landfall on Friday. The strongest tropical cyclone to hit India in 20 years landed near the city of Puri, in Odisha state, as the equivalent of a Category 4 hurricane. It had sustained winds of 240 kilometers per hour. On Saturday morning, the storm weakened to a tropical depression as it entered Bangladesh. A police spokesperson said seven people were killed in Odisha by falling trees and collapsed walls.
