'Dark Phoenix' Has Lowest Opening 'X-Men' Weekend

“Dark Phoenix” had the worst opening weekend for an “X-Men” film, making an estimated $33 million. The lowest “X-Men” opening beforehand was “The Wolverine” with $53.1 million. According to Business Insider, “Dark Phoenix” also had the worst Rotten Tomatoes score of the franchise. Critics gave the film 23 percent while the verified audience score stayed at 65 percent. In contrast to the domestic office, the film brought in $107 million internationally.
