Wall Street treads water after recent rally

According to Reuters, the Dow Jones snapped a six-day streak of gains as the markets on Wall Street fell flat. On June 11th, the top three markets on the New York Stock Exchange made marginal gains during morning trading. But the top markets receded throughout the afternoon, falling about flat on the day. The Dow Jones Industrial Average only lost 14-points, leaving the market at 26,048. The S&P 500 lost 1-point, while the Nasdaq Composite lost less than 1-point. The US Treasury yield curve also continued to flatten, as the yield for short-term notes increased while the yield for long-term notes stayed steady.
