Iran Said US Closed Path To Diplomacy With New Sanctions

Description

Iran spoke out about new U.S. sanctions on the country's supreme leader and other top officials. Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said this is “the permanent closure of the path of diplomacy.” The U.S. sanctioned Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. Mousavi said: “Trump’s desperate administration is destroying the established international mechanisms for maintaining world peace and security.” According to Reuters, the sanctions comes after Tehran downed an unmanned American drone.
