Israeli Prime Minister Said 'Spy Mission' Proved Iran Pursued Nuclear Weapons Program

Description

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said President Donald Trump knew about a “spy mission” in Tehran. Netanyahu said he informed Trump that the “mission” was meant to obtain a secret Iranian nuclear archive. According to Reuters, he said the documents retrieved proved Iran previously pursued a nuclear weapons program. When the U.S. left the 2015 nuclear pact, Trump cited Israeli finding as his reason for doing so. Iran denies ever seeking nuclear weapons and accused Israel of faking the “spy mission.”
