Google Announces 'Stadia,' Its Video Game Service

Description

Business Insider reports Google officially announced its detailed plans to enter the competitive video game business on Tuesday. Google's service is called Stadia. CEO Sundar Pichai says Stadia will offer blockbuster games on any device that can run the Chrome web browser, including tablets, phones, and TVs. Stadia is a cloud-based video game streaming service that doesn't require a specific game console. Google says the service will allow users to take their game saves with them to any device. It also said the next "Doom" game will be coming to Stadia. It is scheduled to launch sometime in 2019 "starting with the US, Canada, the UK, and most of Europe."
