SpaceX Raised Over $1 Billion For Space Internet Program

Description

Reuters reports Elon Musk’s SpaceX has raised more than $1 billion in the last six months in financing for a high-speed internet space program. The company's regulatory filings on Friday showed that it raised $486.2 million in an equity offering starting December, and another $535.7 million in an offering that began in April. On Thursday, SpaceX launched the first grouping of 60 small satellites into low-Earth orbit for Musk’s Starlink internet service, which he eventually wants to be available around the world.
