Trump Urges Greater Japanese Investment In U.S.

Description

According to Reuters, U.S. President Donald Trump urged Japanese business leaders on Saturday to increase their investment in the United States while he chided Japan for having a “substantial edge” on trade. Trump arrived in Japan on Saturday for a largely ceremonial state visit meant to showcase strong ties even though trade relations are problematical. Trump told the company officials there had never been a better time to invest in the United States and said he wanted a deal to address the trade imbalance between the two countries.

According to HuffPost, Clark told attendees at the event in Freedom Plaza that COVID-19 was a hoax. He then invited them hug each other. Turn to the person next to you and give them a hug, someone you don’t know. Go hug somebody. Go ahead and spread it out, mass spreader. It’s a mass-spreader event! Clay Clark The Twitterverse was singularly unimpressed. Clark also made a point to say he was open to hugs despite being in a committed relationship.

CNN reports Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner is urging concession, as is First Lady Melania Trump. Moments after CNN and other networks projected Biden's win, Trump tweeted Biden was 'rushing to falsely pose as the winner' and that the race is 'far from over.' According to Business Insider most of it was linked to money he owed lenders for the construction of a massive skyscraper in Chicago. Trump borrowed money for the Trump International Hotel & Tower from Germany's Deutsche Bank and Fortress Investment Group. Trump failed to pay the money bank. The lenders initially gave him more time. According to tax return records and loan documents viewed by the NY Times eventually Deutsche and Fortress forgave the debt.

    Rudy Giuliani's daughter is urging Americans to get involved in this election and asking them to vote for Joe Biden. Caroline Giuliani, the daughter of President Trump's personal attorney, shared some harsh criticism of her father and Trump. "The only way to end this nightmare is to vote," the 31-year-old wrote in a Vanity Fair column. She went on to say; "There is hope on the horizon, but we'll only grasp it if we elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris." Business Insider reports that Giuliani said: " together, we can vote this toxic administration out of office". She then went on to describe Trump's time in the White House as a "reign of terror."

    The stock market took a dive on Friday on news that US President Donald Trump has tested positive for COVID-19. According to Business Insider, industry experts think the cruise industry could take a hit from the news. Macquarie analyst Paul Golding says an event raising the visibility of the virus could 'potentially alter the timeline for full resumption for the cruise lines.' Golding added that anything that increases the likelihood of a new administration in January could negatively impact cruise supply and demand. He explained that a new administration would likely be less sympathetic toward cruise lines reopening without a vaccine. Furthermore, a Biden administration would likely be 'more keen to follow doctor, scientist, and expert recommendations.'
