Pope Francis Appoints Women To Key Vatican Role

Description

According to Reuters, Pope Francis has broken with tradition and appointed women to a key Vatican department. Three nuns and one laywoman have been appointed as councilors in the office of synods. The office is primarily responsible for preparing major meetings of world bishops held every few years.
