Tesla Ups Price On $35,000 Model 3 And Makes It Hard To Buy

Description

After dropping the price of their Model 3 car, Tesla has both upped the price and is making the car harder to buy. Automotive News reports that the Model 3 electric car, with the 'Standard Plus battery range,' used to cost $37,500, plus $3,000 for Autopilot. The new price is $39,500 with Autopilot included. Model 3 deliveries start this weekend, but now Tesla is removing the Model 3 from their online menu. Automotive News explains "Between the cost cuts, waning demand for its vehicles and now making the $35,000 Model 3 much harder to buy, the company is now quietly realizing it has to play by the same rules as every other automaker." If a customer wants to purchase the Model 3, now they have to call Tesla or visit a remaining brick and mortar store. If customers lease the car, they won't have the option to buy it until the end of the lease.
