Trump's Judge Sister Retires After Tax Fraud Probe Revealed

Description

CNN reports President Donald Trump's older sister, federal appellate Judge Maryanne Trump Barry, has retired, soon after an investigation was announced into whether she committed tax fraud. The New York Times reported last fall that the Trump family had participated in schemes with their taxes to maximize Trump, Barry and their siblings' inheritances. Barry filed her retirement papers just 10 days after the court notified complainants that the case was "receiving the full attention" of a judicial conduct council. Since Barry has been inactive for over two years, she does not face the judicial misconduct charge. The Times reported she is now entitled to a retirement salary that be more than $200,000.
