Mexican Troops Approached US Solders On US Territory

Description

Two U.S. defense officials said two U.S. soldiers were questioned by Mexican troops earlier this April. According to CNN, the U.S. soldiers were conducting a surveillance operation on the U.S. side of the southern border. U.S. Northern Command said it was five to six Mexican military personnel who approached the U.S. soldiers. The officials said the Mexican soldiers pointed their weapons at the U.S. troops and took away one of their sidearms. The U.S. soldiers allowed the weapon to be taken to “de-escalate” the situation.
