Miya Ponsetto, 22, said on CBS This Morning. The interview was conducted Thursday, hours before Ponsetto was arrested in California in connection with the Dec. 26 confrontation with 14-year-old Keyon Harrold Jr., the AP reports. Ponsetto was charged Saturday in New York with attempted robbery, grand larceny, acting in a manner injurious to a child and two counts of attempted assault, city police reported. Ponsetto said she was "sorry from the bottom of my heart" but added: "He’s 14?
Politico reports that President Donald Trump is considering pardoning as many as 20 close associates before he leaves office in January. Who would he pardon? According to Business insider they include his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, as well as his three eldest children, as The New York Times previously reported. However, the president is said to be concerned about whether the preemptive pardons could look like a public admission of guilt. Trump and his allies will face a slew of civil and criminal investigations on a federal and state level once he leaves office in January. The pardon power does not apply to state offenses.
Tyler Perry hosted a Thanksgiving food giveaway. According to CNN, the giveaway quickly ran out of supplies as an unexpected number of people showed up. Perry's Tyler Perry Studios hosted its #TPSGiving food giveaway. Cars are invited to drive-up and receive a meal. This year volunteers dressed in protective gear were prepared to hand out food and gift cards to the first 5,000 cars that arrived. The studio was only able to help out 5,000 families.
Dolly Parton wants to remain ageless. That's what she told Oprah Winfrey in a chat via CNN. The legendary singer recently appeared on "The Oprah Conversation." Oprah asked Dolly if she thinks about "the number" as she hits different milestones in her life. "I ain't never gonna be old because I ain't got time to be old." Parton quipped that she's fine with a little anti-aging assistance. "I'm gonna look like a cartoon. I'll have on the makeup. I'll look as young as my plastic surgeons will allow me."
