Actor and stand-up comedian Dustin Diamond has been hospitalized with cancer. Diamond is best known for playing the role of Samuel 'Screech' Powers on the popular 1990s high school comedy 'Saved by the Bell.' Besides writing a controversial tell-all about his time on the show, Diamond has also faced some legal troubles. According to CNN, he served three months in jail for stabbing a man during a 2014 altercation at a bar in Wisconsin. Diamond's representative says his client's health condition is 'serious,' and that he is undergoing testing to determine the type and severity of the cancer.

Parkland, Feb 14 (EFE/EPA).- Florida on Friday marks the second anniversary of a shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School killing 17 people including 14 students and three staff members. Parkland community members and students on Friday paid tribute to the 17 victims of the shooting by placing flowers at a makeshift memorial in front of the school.A giant 'Peace and Love' billboard made of flowers was also erected in Coral Spring, Florida, in tribute to the victims.Alleged shooter, Nikolas Cruz, was 19 years old at the time of the shooting, which is the deadliest high school shooting in U.S. history to date.After the shooting, surviving students have become vocal advocates for gun control, organizing protests throughout the country and maintaining social media presences, particularly on Twitter.
