A Japanese person will be the first non-American to walk on the Moon, US President Joe Biden announces during a state visit by Japan's prime minister. Final preparations are underway for the launch of the first American spacecraft to attempt a lunar landing in more than 50 years, under a new partnership between NASA and private industry.
