UK Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, evokes the spirit of Winston Churchill as he welcomes Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, in the room from which Britain's World War Two leader made some of his most famous speeches. "In the same way today, your leadership, your country's bravery and fortitude are an inspiration to us all" says Sunak. Zelensky responds with thanks and says he looks forward to discussing more urgent military support, with the UK pledging additional supply of "hundreds" of both air-defence missiles and long-range attack drones to fend off Russia's invasion. Zelensky meets military officials and hands out awards to Ukrainian servicemen, who have been holding back a fierce and months-long Russian military campaign against the city.
