Facebook Deletes Billions Of Accounts In Three Months

According to Business Insider, Facebook announced that in the past three months it removed 2.2 billion fake accounts. CNN reports that 2.2 billion is nearly equivalent to the platform's 2.38 billion monthly active users. This comes after it removed 1.2 billion in Q4 2018, almost double the 694 million it took down in Q3 2018. Facebook also recently banned several far-right figures. It has been working to eliminate violent and harmful voices across its platform.
