S&P 500 Nears Another All Time Closing Record

Description

According to Reuters, the S&P 500 is less than 2-percent away from setting a new record. By the afternoon on April 3rd, the S&P rose about half a percent, adding 13-points. That pushed the benchmark index closer to setting a new record closing high, which it it hasn't done since September. On the day, ten of the S&P's top eleven sectors were trading higher, led by gains for the technology index. The tech sector rose over 1-percent, boosted by a surge in microchip stocks.
