Julie Andrews To Play Gossip Writer In Shonda Rhimes' New TV Show

Julie Andrews has been cast in an upcoming Shonda Rhimes' Netflix show. Variety reports, the Mary Poppins actress has joined the untitled series based on Julia Quinn's Bridgerton novels. Andrews will voice Lady Whistledown, a sharp-tongued gossip writer who uses social commentary and insults to send the characters into an all-out frenzy. According to Channel 24, the eight-episode series is scheduled for a 2020 release on the streaming service.
