Toronto Raptors Hold Championship Parade Marred By Shooting

On Monday 2 million canadian fans, as well as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau cheered the NBA champion Toronto Raptors in a victory celebration that united the nation, but the party was marred by a shooting that seriously wounded two people. Reuters reports that Five double-decker buses that carried the players and their families as well as musician Drake who is an outspoken supporter of the team. The convoy arrived nearly two hours behind schedule near Toronto’s city hall. The shooting interrupted an otherwise peaceful, six-hour bash that only began to clear out in the late afternoon.
