Walmart Supercenters Outperform Walmart Discount Stores--But Not In Every Category

Description

Walmart is the largest brick-and-mortar retailer in the world in terms of sales. While the Discount Store store model is the original, there are now two times more Supercenters than there are Discount Store stores. With each Supercenter being 150,000 square feet larger than a Discount Walmart, shelves are stocked with even more variety. In general, observers from Business Insider report that while Walmart Discount stores often have better clothing sections and outdoor sections, Super Walmarts have a vastly better selection of food and a greater variety of products overall.
