Russia Warns U.S. To Stop Stoking Tensions, As Iran Says It Won't Wage War

Description

On Tuesday, President Hassan Rouhani said that Iran would not wage war with any nation, while Russia warned the United States to drop what it called provocative plans to deploy more troops to the Middle East. On Monday Iran warned that it would soon breach limits on how much enriched uranium the country can stockpile under a 2015 nuclear deal, a move which could prompt a diplomatic crisis, forcing other signatories, including China, Russia and European powers, to confront Iran. Fears of a confrontation between Iran and the United States have been growing since Washington blamed Tehran for Thursday’s attacks on two oil tankers near the strategic Strait of Hormuz shipping lane.
