New Prime Minister Manuel Valls unveils reform agenda

"Too much suffering and not enough hope." Those were the first words uttered by France's new Prime Minister Manuel Valls before parliament yesterday when he delivered his maiden speech and asked for a vote of confidence. So is Valls, who was until his nomination a popular interior minister, already a very different prime minister than his predecessor Jean-Marc Ayrault?
