Mercedes-Benz stellt den neuen SL in Detroit. Mit der nächsten Generation des Mercedes-Benz SL gewinnt das berühmten Kürzel „SL" eine neue Bedeutung: Aus sportlich-leicht wird super-leicht.Der neue SL kann bereits bestellt werden. Die Preise beginnen bei 93 534 Euro für den SL 350 und 117 096 Euro für den SL 500. Smart präsentiert die Studie "For-us" Der 3,55 Meter lange Smart mit der in diesem Zusammenhang doppeldeutigen Modellbezeichnung For-us bietet auf seiner Ladefläche bei horizontal umgelegter Heckklappe Platz für zwei Smart E-Bikes. Durch die Docking-Station auf der Ladefläche sind ihre Batterien immer geladen, und Fahrer und Beifahrer des Smart For-us kommen mit den Zweirädern auch an Ziele, die mit dem Auto nicht erreichbar sind
Nach der Weltpremiere in Berlin feierte der neue Mercedes-Benz Actros auf der IAA Nutzfahrzeuge in Hannover seine Messepremiere. Mit über 60 technischen Innovationen hat sich auch das Design des neuen Mercedes-Benz Actros verändert. Besonders auffällig ist der Wegfall der herkömmlichen Außenspiegel. Stattdessen präsentiert sich die neue Serienversion des Schwerlast-Trucks dank dynamisch designter MirrorCam mit noch homogeneren Proportionen.Zum progressiven Look tragen auch die typischen Frontscheinwerfer mit LED-Tagfahrlicht bei: Die neue, geschwungene Lichtsignatur am oberen Scheinwerferrand macht den Actros bei Nacht unverwechselbar. Bei Tag hilft das neue serienmäßige LED-Tagfahrlicht dabei, dass andere Verkehrsteilnehmer den neuen Actros bestmöglich wahrnehmen. Neben dem fortschrittlichen Exterieur bestimmt vor allem der moderne Truck-Innenraum das Design des neuen Actros.Die Entwicklung des Interieur-Designs erfolgte beim neuen Actros konsequent um den Fahrer herum – nach dem Prinzip „inside out“. Für den Gestaltungsprozess bestimmend war deshalb die „User Experience“ des Fahrers. Besonders ersichtlich wird dies beim Multimedia-Cockpit. Zwei freischwebende, extrem hochauflösende Displays repräsentieren das Cockpit und lassen sich über Touch-Control-Pads im neu gestalteten Lenkrad bedienen. Beim Sekundärdisplay ist zusätzlich noch die Direktsteuerung über den Touchscreen möglich. Dabei ist die Darstellung auf den Monitoren nicht nur funktional erlebbar, sondern unterstreicht auch die emotionale Inszenierung sowie die Verständlichkeit der Bedienstruktur und begeistert durch brilliante Grafiken in höchster Pixelperfektion.

The famous 300 SL model designation is the main theme of Mercedes-Benz Classic at the Rétromobile show in Paris. One highlight of the trade show (31 January to 4 February 2024) is the rarely shown 300 SL racing prototype (W 194/11) from the company’s vehicle collection. The engineers dubbed this one-off “Hobel” (German for “carpenter's plane”) because of its angular front. They developed the vehicle for the 1953 motorsport season on the basis of the 300 SL motor-racing car, which had been extremely successful in the 1952 season. However, the “Hobel” was never used because Mercedes-Benz focussed on entering Formula One from 1954.The Rétromobile show has an excellent reputation among collectors as one of the leading sales events of the year. Mercedes-Benz Classic is offering selected vehicles for sale on this exclusive platform: three Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadsters (W 198) are on offer in Paris. The super-sportscar is the open-top version and successor to the 300 SL Coupé with its iconic gullwing doors, which was launched in 1954. From 1957 to 1963, the Sindelfingen plant only produced 1,858 examples of the Roadster. Two of the vehicles for sale have been restored to the highest standards of authenticity by the experts at the Mercedes-Benz Classic Centre. The third Roadster impresses with its unrestored condition and completely original technology. It is a future restoration project.

Mercedes-AMG presents the SL 43, a technically innovative new entry model for the AMG SL roadster, arriving in U.S. dealerships in summer 2023, starting from $109,900. Under the hood of the open-top 2+2-seater is an AMG-enhanced 2.0-liter turbocharged M139 engine featuring an electric exhaust gas turbocharger. This technology is a direct derivative of the development successfully used by the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team. The new form of turbocharging guarantees spontaneous throttle response across the entire rpm range to deliver an even more dynamic driving experience. The turbocharger is operated via the 48-volt electrical system, which also feeds the belt-driven starter-generator (RSG). As a result, the SL 43 has an output of 375 hp and a maximum torque of 354 lb-ft.The 2023 Mercedes-AMG SL 43 roadster also shines with extensive standard equipment. In addition, numerous options provide customers with a wide range of possibilities for individualization.In the 70 years of its development history, the SL experienced the transformation from a thoroughbred racing car to an open-top luxury sports car – and has long enjoyed legendary status. The new Mercedes-AMG SL now marks another milestone in the model's history. It combines the distinct sportiness of the original SL with the unique luxury and technological excellence that characterize modern Mercedes-AMG models. The SL 43 exemplifies this with its innovative electric exhaust gas turbocharger. This technology comes directly from Formula 1 and solves the trade-off between a small, responsive turbocharger yielding a lower total output and a large turbocharger capable of high peak power with less responsiveness. With its combination of a comparatively lightweight AMG-enhanced 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and rear-wheel drive, the SL 43 displays impressive handling characteristics.
