Ukraine holds military drills in Rivne, near the Belarusian border. Russia says military drills in Moscow-annexed Crimea have ended and that soldiers are returning to their garrisons, a day after it announced a first troop pullback from Ukraine's borders. IMAGES
Russian Defence ministry images show drills on the military training fields of Kuzminskiy and Kadamovskiy, near Rostov-on-Don, less than 50 kilometres from the Ukrainian border. According to the ministry, more than 2.5 thousand servicemen of the Southern Military District took part in the combat training events, about 100 T-72B3 tanks were involved. IMAGES
Aerial footage released by a pro-Ukraine militia shows an alleged drone attack on a Russian armoured military vehicle in a village on the Kursk border region. Additional images published by another volunteer group also claim to show a gun battle on the border. IMAGES
