A piece of debris that washed up on the French island of Réunion in the western Indian Ocean on Wednesday is prompting speculation that it might be part of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, which went missing in March 2014.
On a visit to France, Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Richard Marles is welcomed at the Préfecture maritime de l'Atlantique in Brest, northwestern France, by the French Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu.
