Washington DC could sink 6 or more inches by the end of the century

A team of researchers led by the University of Vermont and the U.S. Geological Survey have confirmed that the sea level in the Washington D.C. region is rising faster, not only due to global warming but also due to a phenomena called glacio-isostatic adjustment of the land surface, the Washington Post reported.
