An eight-year-old boy from the Ivory Coast was smuggled into the Spanish city of Ceuta from Morocco inside a suitcase.According to Spanish media, a 19-year-old woman brought the boy into Ceuta inside her suitcase. She is not related to the boy, but was paid by his father to smuggle him across the border.The boy’s father lives in the Canary Islands and hoped to be reunited with his son.As the woman crossed the border, she appeared nervous and police believed she was carrying drugs. A scan of the suitcase revealed the boy inside.The boy’s father crossed the border about 90 minutes after his son and was detained by border guards.
