Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, the fugitive drug kingpin, suffered injuries after he escaped the authorities’ attempt to recapture him in the mountains in western Mexico.
The head of Mexico’s powerful Sinaloa Cartel fled Altiplano prison on Saturday night through a system of tunnels that includes a 1,500-metre-long tunnel that ends at a nearby town.
