COVID-19 restrictions tightened in China early this year, and that's led to a shortage of hideouts for criminals on the lam. CNN reports a fugitive who had been on the run for four years after allegedly stealing a corpse was running out of places to hide. Qiu Binhua was believed to have sold the body for a ritual, then fled to the western part of Inner Mongolia. There, officers had begun trying to contain the coronavirus by scanning QR codes of passers-by and setting up checkpoints. Without an ID card, police said Qui turned himself in, as he had no means of escape.
Have you ever wanted to get more likes on your pictures or more friends or subscribers on social media? Footage that emerged on May 6 shows a 'Like factory' in China's Shenzhen, where hundreds of mobile phones lined up in rows are used to generate subscribers and likes for paying clients on social media networks. The phones have been tested only for the Chinese messenger 'WeChat', but soon will be boosting likes on Facebook and other social media networks as well.
According to the Chinese calendar, 2017 is Year of the Rooster and one Chinese factory has rolled out a very special surprise right in time for Chinese New Year, which will take place in 2017 on Saturday, January 28. This giant, 65-foot-high inflatable chicken is called 'Super Trump', and the levitating caricature features a white chicken sporting the iconic blonde hairdo of the US president elect, sewn on in golden fabric. Oddly enough, this isn't the first time that Trump has been compared to a bird in China. Chinese social media is abuzz about the similarities between the President elect and a five-year-old golden pheasant called "Little Red", which appears to have the same slicked back blonde hairdo as the Donald. 'Super Trump' was designed by American artist Casey Latiolais and the factory is selling individual inflatable birds for just under 8 thousand dollars a pop.
