A San Francisco police sergeant, Scott Lunger, was shot and killed during a traffic stop on July 22 after confronting a driver who was driving erratically.
In footage courtesy of the Columbus Police Department, Columbus Police Chief Kim Jacobs confirmed on Thursday that one of her officers had shot dead a black 13-year-old male, identified as Tyre King, after he was seen holding a BB gun during a police search for assailants in an armed robbery. The weapon recovered from the scene was identified to be a BB gun. Jacobs showed a replica image of the gun to press.
