Footage showing a capsized cargo ship off the Georgia coast is released by the US Coast Guard as it searches for four crew members aboard the 656-foot vehicle carrier Golden Ray in St. Simons Sound, near Brunswick, Georgia. 20 people have been rescued after it was reported that the vessel was disabled, listing, and had a fire on board. A Russian sailor travelling solo from Stockholm to Spain was shipwrecked on a tiny bit of rock near the remote Swedish island of Stora Lundskar in the Baltic Sea last week, losing all his communication equipment in the accident. The unnamed Russian man wrote the word HELP in moss which he collected from the island in the hope that a passing aircraft might see it. A helicopter patrol saw the letters and brought to a nearby hospital in Linkoping for treatment.
Search and rescue operations are still underway for a family of four that went missing during a storm at sea.
