The White House will demand more information from Israel after "deeply concerning" reports of bodies found strewn at Gaza's largest hospital complex as Israeli forces pulled out after an intensive military operation there. "It is deeply concerning if it's true. We are reaching out to the Israeli government to get more information," White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tells reporters in Washington. SOUNDBITE
Ukraine's embattled frontline town of Avdiivka is in danger of being captured by Russian forces, the White House says, urging the US House to pass vital military aid for Kyiv. "Avdiivka is at risk of falling into Russian control," National Security Council spokesman John Kirby tells reporters during a White House briefing. SOUNDBITE
The White House confirms that a national security threat raised by US lawmakers involves Russia developing an anti-satellite weapon. "I can confirm that it is related to an anti-satellite capability that Russia developing," National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby tells reporters, adding however that there was "no immediate threat to anyone's safety." The White House applauds the adoption of the foreign aid legislation and urges the US lower House to approve the long-delayed funding for Ukraine's war efforts against Russia.
