The Argentinian-born Pope Francis is football fan and was able to brush off Germany's surprise last gasp 2-1 win over Argentina in extra time in the final of the 2014 World Cup held in Brazil. However, Germany lost out to France in the semi-finals of this year's Euro football championship.
