11-Year-Old Designs Bulletproof Backpack

Meet Juan David Hernandez, an 11-year-old inventor who is worried about crime in his native Mexico. He came up with the idea of designing a safety backpack, which features a bulletproof plate, a GPS tracker and an alarm button tucked away in the bag's strap, which can be activated in case of an attack. Juan David's safety backpack is one small way to raise awareness about organised drug gangs and crime in his home city of Tamaulipas.
