Macron And Valls: 'The Fight for Leadership of the Left'

Description

FRENCH PAPERS 12.12.16 Presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron's Saturday rally has 'thrown the Socialists into disarray', according to French daily Les Echos. But centre-right Le Figaro wonders how 'revolutionary' Macron really is. National Front leader Marine le Pen meanwhile is - as leftwing paper Libération puts it - battling with 'deep ideological divisions' in her party, after her niece Marion Maréchal le Pen restated her belief that the state should not pay for abortions.
