Description

Footage captured on Thursday and provided courtesy of the Tennessee Department of Transportation shows the ruins of the town of Gatlinburg following fierce wildfires that struck the rural area of Tennessee. Over 14,000 people were forced to leave their homes in Gatlinburg on Monday evening, as the fires - aggravated by strong winds - began to threaten the town. On Wednesday, a Tennessee mayor reported that three more bodies had been discovered among the fire's ruins. Seven fatalities have been recorded in total.
