Guatemalan Firefighter Abseils Down Bridge to Give GIfts to Poor Children

The legend of Santa Claus is based on a historical figure who gave gifts to poor people and firefighters from Guatemala are following in his footsteps. 70-year-old Senior Officer Hector Chacon donned the red and white suit and worked with other firefighters to set up a stunt that Guatemala City will not soon forget. He rappelled over 400 feet down the Las Vacas Bridge to meet with the poorest of the poor, who were living in a makeshift settlement under the bridge.
